• My mother, my cousin and I were in need of some gifts for a family gathering. We were intrigued by the N'Joy Yourself's antique and "homey" look. But let me tell you, once we were inside we definitely did not feel a home. In the first few minutes of entering the store, I could tell that we were not welcome. The sales staff did not acknowledge us or offer us any assistance as we admired the merchandise. We spent about 20 minutes quietly roaming the store and contemplated several purchases. I would like to note that we were not loud, rude, or rowdy. In fact, we barely said anything unless it was to discuss buying a product. All of the rules that were clearly placed around the store (for example, "do not sit on the furniture" and "we don't mind your kids if your kids mind you") were obeyed and respected. However as we left, the only salutation we got from the staff was a "get the hell out" that I heard one of the sales women mutter while closing the door. I am shocked by the way we were treated.. with throw pillows and teapots decorated with mottoes centered around love and kindness I was at least expecting a "have a nice day" Although the merchandise was very nice, these stores are a dime a dozen and I would rather spend my money at businesses that hire employees who treat customers with respect. All of our family and friends will be N'Joying ourselves elsewhere. Send people that I care about to a store with employees that treat people with disgust?! I think not.
