• The look and feel of the restaurant was nice. Though, the food is so, so! From being lukewarm-cold, the food had obviously been sitting somewhere for awhile. Also, there was way too much sauce, and the same sauce was used on the jerk chicken, ribs, and oxtails. It also tasted like someone got a little carried away with the pepper, as the sauce was peppery hot, and I typically like a little "heat" in my dishes. The plaintains tasted funny, perhaps because they are out of season during this time of year, and should not have been on the menu. The macaroni & cheese was bland and too hard to eat, as you needed to pick through it while eating it. This is because the top was hard, so once you put some in your mouth you needed to pull out the hard macaroni...it made me think I was eating a piece of fish with bones...Yuk! The rice tasted like one of the box rices I make at home, and the beef patties were good; but they were not homemade...they were the frozen kind that you we normally purchase from Shop Rite. I found the self-serve beverage refrigerator to not be cool...what's that all about?When asked what kind of sodas they offer? The server replied, "you go pick out your own." Really? The bathroom needs to be renovated. I understand needing to keep a bathroom smelling pleasant, but a can of air deodorizer sitting on top of a little makeshift ledge, is far from the way this should be handled. In fact,.Lowes or Home Depot carries bathroom vents to help avoid this level of tackiness! The server was friendly and so was her husband. All in all, this restaurant has a ways to go! Will I return? No.
