• BEWARE! They try to sell you service that you don't need-- VERY crooked business practice. -I went into this Meineke on Sat. 2/11/12 and told them that the brake light on my Subaru Impreza would come on and go off. I indicated to them that I had done a little reading online that it might be due to dirty brake fluid or even the cold weather. They inspected my car and gave me an estimate for more than $550.00 for new brake pads and rotors. I told them that I heard no screeching and felt no grinding when I applied my brakes. Moreover, when I looked at the rotors they were VERY smooth and I asked if they could simply be resurfaced instead. To make a long story short, I did not trust the shady manager Cliff Bonfiglio's advice and I took my car this morning (2/18/12) to the Bill Kolb Subaru dealership (Where customer service is OUTSTANDING) and they told me I had at least 5,000 miles left on my brake pads. They told me that the reason why the brake light was coming on was because my fluid was A) low and B) dirty and that a simple brake fluid flush ($100) was sufficient enough at this time. Meineke told me the opposite last weekend they STRONGLY recommended against changing my brake fluid. I would also like to be very blunt and honest about Mr. Cliff Bonfiglio (the manager on duty). Quite honestly, I feel as if he spoke to me like I am an idiot and didn't know any better about my car. Furthermore, when I asked questions about things I have read, I did not get clear and consistent answers from him and the technician who inspected my car. Although when I was leaving, he said "have a nice day" his tone, volume and overall mannerism was not pleasant and I don't believe he really wanted me to 'have a nice day'. This business should really invest some time in learning a little about customer service and customer satisfaction. I will be telling everyone I know that this is a poor business.
