• Having a traveling rock band has made booking limo transportation necessary when the logistics of getting from point A to B make driving ourselves too risky or inconvenient. Sometimes it's multiple stops in a crowded city, but in this case it was a critical time issue: we had exactly 2 hours between the last note of our show in Southeast Washington D.C. and the 10:07PM non-stop flight to Denver out of Washington Dulles Airport (34 miles away). A road case needed to be checked (45min cutoff time) and at 8AM the next morning we would be traveling from Denver to Aspen to load-in and sound check for another show. We couldn't afford to take a chance on a taxi not showing up on time or breaking down on the highway - I've experienced the latter more than once! With this much time pressure, private limo transportation in DC was the ONLY option and I found Jay's Sedan Service highly rated on Yelp. Jay responded very promptly to my request and was very professional with his communication through email (a trip confirmation) and his phone call in advance of the scheduled pickup. Everything went smoothly and the driver that picked us up in a black Suburban was very friendly. The venue we performed at had valet service in front, so Jay had his driver wait around the corner for us. As soon as we were ready for pickup, our driver appeared in less than one minute. We made it to the airport in less than 40mins and even had time to grab a Potbelly sandwich on the concourse before our flight. I will definitely call Jay again the next time we need transportation in the DC area to/from the airport. Jay clearly cares about his customers, and that is just plain cool. Very reasonable rates, too. 5 stars! Funny moment en route to Dulles Airport: My totally sober drummer points at the U.S. Capitol and whispers in excitement, "dude, is that the white house?!"
