• I was disgusted with the lack of customer service displayed by the two young women on duty in the Hartsdale, NY Haagen Daz this evening (5/10/12). I actually walked out without buying a thing. I was there to buy a large ice cream cake and the two girls were actually playing a game to see which one of them would ignore me the longest. After actively ignoring me while I stood at the counter for 4+ minutes, one finally looked up and said that they were closing. I looked at my watch and noted 8:50 p.m.. After I stated the time, she disagreed and said that it was 8:55 & she repeated that she was closing while the other girl walked in the back room laughing. The girl who was left, looked at the other girl in the back and mouthed "I don't want to help her, aren't you going to?" I finally had enough and told her to forget it, I didn't want anything. As I left, I noticed that there were four seated customers who were in the process of eating their ice creams at tables inside the store. I can only imagine that the two rude employees were going to kick everyone out at 9 pm if not earlier. There are good customer service oriented people without a job who would be a far better fit at the Hartsdale, NY store; these two Haagan Daz employees really have no business working in a customer service role in the food service industry. They don't seem to understand that when there is a paying customer ready to buy an expensive cake, you don't refuse to wait on them. Disgraceful! I won't return!!
